Have you ever felt nervous about having a difficult conversation with a colleague, employee, customer, or family member?  This session will introduce you to three valuable techniques to help you get the best from others when you need to have these conversations.  The techniques will allow you to have more ease and reduce potential friction when conducting difficult conversations. You will learn how to increase the likelihood of achieving a successful outcome, while leaving the other person feeling valued in the process.  This one-hour session will include time to practice these simple, yet practical, techniques, so you can be prepared to use them, in the real world.



The art of influencing others requires stepping into another person’s frame of reference.  This communication practice unlocks the very best results in any relationship.

Participants will explore how stepping out of their own frame of reference and into someone else’s is the best way to get on the same page with others and do so quickly.  As straightforward as this sounds, it’s a skill that is seldom taught, and is practiced even less.

This keynote will explore how to gain understanding and influence viewpoints that differ from our own.  It will equip participants with best practices and practical tools they can use to be more effective – with their employees, customers, colleagues, managers, peers and family.

Trust is the key that unlocks the ability to get to results with, and through, others faster, and with less effort.  People don’t trust you when they get to understand you; they trust you when they feel you understand them.  Establishing trust leads to loyalty with employees, customers, colleagues, managers, peers and family.

Everyone talks about the importance of trust, but few know what concrete strategies they can use to create it.  This keynote will outline practical strategies for creating trust.



This keynote will explore the true essence of Customer Service.  It will help audience members understand that Customer Service can only be defined from the customer’s frame of reference.  It will have the audience explore how they can bring about “felt” customer service, through hiring, modeling, and training. Through a combination of both poignant and humorous stories, we will help the audience understand the difference between “trained hospitality” and “sincere hospitality”.  Then we’ll provide some straightforward suggestions and insights to create customer interactions that are defined by “sincere hospitality”.  Finally, we will have audience members evaluate their own levels of customer service, using the “family test”.  This is simply asking yourself if the level of service, accountability and attentiveness you provide is equal to that you would provide your mother, father, sister or brother.
